Little Miss Contest Entry Form

Welcome to the 2024 Cedar County Fair Little Miss program. We are excited to meet you. Our goal for you is that you will meet and have fun with other girls your age from the county, learn a little more about the inner-workings of the fair, but most importantly, have a great time and make lasting memories.

The Little Miss program will accept the first 5 candidates who submit their applications. The Little Miss program is for girls age 4-5 who reside in Cedar County.

Please return the following application and permission slips to Royalty Coordinators, Molly Haub and Jenny Jackson at PO Box 324, Tipton, IA 52772 or email to thecedarcountyfair@gmail.com by May 1, 2024. The follow events will be available to contestants to participate in (starred events are required):

Contestant photo, orientation, & activity- June 4* 5:30 at the Mathew’s Building
Volunteering at fairground work night – TBD
Interview Practice, Ice Cream Social- June 30 1 pm at 4-H Food Stand
Tipton 4^th of July parade* – meet 9:30 at St Mary’s church parking lot
Interviews- July 7* time TBD
Coronation- July 10 @ 5 pm* – please be ready at 4:30
Cedar County Fair July 10-14*

We ask that each contestant have a sponsor. Any organization, church, business, or individual can sponsor a candidate. Each sponsor shall donate a minimum of $35 on the candidate’s behalf. This $35 will go towards, prizes, activities, & awards for the contestants. If you need assistance in finding a sponsor, please contact Molly.

Judging for the event is based on: appearance, personality, communication (both verbal and nonverbal) and enthusiasm/love for the fair. While one girl is designated as the “Fair Little Miss” all girls will be given the same opportunities for activity participation and we expect parents to understand that. This event is about fostering love for the fair, along with building friendships and memories.
