Introducing The Cedar County Farm Bureau Agriculture Center

The Cedar County Fair Board, Cedar County Farm Bureau, and Cedar County Extension are excited to announce a joint venture to create The Cedar County Farm Bureau Agriculture Center. This new facility will be home to the Cedar County Extension Office, 4-H Exhibit Hall, and will serve as the 4-H Food Stand during the fair. The space will also provide the fairgrounds with new bathrooms, showers, and a large 4800 square foot meeting room to be used by all youth and agricultural groups in Cedar County.

The need for this building stems from the age of the current 4-H Food Stand. It is nearly beyond repair and is soon expected to fail inspections. This will make it unusable for food stand purposes during the fair. The 4-H Exhibit Building is also quickly becoming too small for the outstanding amount of projects our 4-Hers create.

The current food stand will be demolished once the new structure is completed. The current exhibit building will be moved and repurposed on the grounds.

The Cedar County Farm Bureau kicked off this project in a big way by donating $100,000 toward the building and securing naming rights for the new structure.

The Cedar County Extension will be making a monetary donation as well, to build a learning kitchen that will double as their food stand during the fair. Further plans include Cedar County Extension signing a long-term lease for the use of the office space and moving onto the fairgrounds permanently.

Whether you can donate $100 or $100,000, any contribution is appreciated. Please reach out to a fair board member or fill out the form below to be contact. Thank you for your support!
