Track Fundriaser

The Fastest 1/4 mile track in Cedar County is getting some much-needed TLC! Learn more about the project below

A Little History of our Beloved Track

History runs deep at our track. Since the 1890s, these grandstands have seen it all: the thundering hooves of horse racing, the high-octane midget cars of the ’40s, and the grit of the demolition derby. This isn’t just dirt and guardrails; it’s the place that keeps our County Fair alive year after year.

But let’s be honest, the last time this track had a major makeover, the year was 1971. While we’ve patched and painted along the way, our beloved track is ready for a total revival.

The momentum is already building! We’ve secured a new-to-us water truck, a tech area, and better lighting – but we aren’t stopping there. We have no intention of slowing down, and with your support, we can bring this facility into the modern era. Let’s give this track the overhaul it deserves.

Our Turn to Take the Wheel

Decades ago, a dedicated group of locals built this track with their own hands. Today, that torch is passed to us. It’s time to ensure that the evening action remains a staple of our community for the next 50 years.

We aren’t looking for a celebration; we’re looking for a crew. We are raising funds for vital safety overhauls to the Pits, Track, and entire West Side of the grounds. From the roar of the engines to the power of the tractor pulls, this area is the heartbeat of our fair. Let’s get to work and make it safer, stronger, and better than ever.

Help Us Cross the Finish Line

No contribution is too small, and every gift is received with sincere gratitude. To honor those who help us rebuild, all donors will have their names featured on our new Donor Recognition Sign.

We are currently seeking funding for the following critical upgrades:

  • $5,000: New Ticket Booth
  • $2,500: North Pit Exit (Culvert, rock, and installation)
  • $2,400: Track Lighting (Full set per pole) or $600 per individual light x 8 poles
  • Safety Fencing: it’s about $1000 per 16-ft section for cable, mesh, and rails
  • Hardware & Materials: Any amount helps cover the essential nuts, bolts, and brackets needed to secure our perimeter

Kathy Dlouhy Memorial Race

Mark your calendars for Friday, September 18th! All proceeds from this race will go directly toward these improvements. We hope to see the grandstands full in Kathy’s honor.

Thank you for being a vital part of the Cedar County Fairgrounds and Raceway Family.
